Accepting a Godaddy Domain Push

Below is a simple guide on accepting a Godaddy.com domain push, if you have any questions about the process please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Log into your Godaddy.com account, then click on “My Account”.

On the left side, you’ll see “My Account” – Once you click “My Account” you’ll see “Pending Account Changes.”

Click on “Pending Account Changes”.

Click on the “Incoming domain transfer” section on the left side of the screen.

Put a check mark besides the domain name you want to accept transferred and click on the “Quick Accept” button at the top left hand corner.

Check the user agreement and accept that you agree and will not try to transfer the domain name to another registry before 60 days.

The domain should appear under “Domains/Domain Manager” within 10 minutes.

During the next few months, I’ll be acquiring and developing some great properties to help attorneys have more exposure outside of their website. A directory listing might be good for listing your website and gaining some backlinks, but I want to take it a step further. This specific directory has three important pages that will help you rank for specific search terms:

• Your name and law firm: The first page of relevance is the name of your law firm, you have enough space to put any relevant information about who you are and the experience you have. I can add pictures, text, bullets, unique content, and whatever else you might like to add. (Example Page)

• Your City: This page will list your firm, along with other firms listed in that specific city. I can add your listing to more than one city if you wish to be listed in multiple spots, all this at no additional cost. By being listed in a category specific to your city, your firm will gain recognition for that search term and get traffic from people in that area. Although the high rankings might not come right away, the directory will slowly climb the ranks as time passes.              (Example Page)
• Your State: Another great page to be listed in, it will help people find your law firm very quickly from the site’s home page or top navigation. Every attorney in the State will be listed here in no particular order. I’ll constantly add unique content and information on that page to make sure the rankings stay strong. This will probably be the most important page for your law firm, along with the city listings. (See Example Page)
• Other Tags: Tags are other important search terms you can add to the listing to make it more relevant for search engines. Consider them keywords that will help people find your firm through search engines. So you might add a “Accident Attorney” tag to your post so that anyone looking for an accident attorney will see your listing on a separate page, made exclusively for that tag. You can add unlimited amounts of tags to your post, but keep in mind there can be too much of a good thing. (Example Page)

Why should you be listed here?

I know you are probably getting a sales pitch everyday, but this directory is different. Not only did I manage to get AccidentAttorneyDirectory.com, an exact match domain name, but I am using WordPress CMS to make sure the content is beautifully displayed and the site ranks high. WordPress is probably the easiest Content Management System I’ve ever used, it’s very intuitive.

Once your law firm is listed on the directory, you’ll be able to submit unlimited guest posts with one or two DOFOLLOW backlinks (for SEO purposes) to your website. My only request is that the content you post is unique to this site, copied content gets penalized severely by search engines.

Since the explosion of local/niche marketing, lawyers have started to realize how many people actually search for their services locally.
